Volunteer Projects

TVA
was created by its volunteer workers. Without many of
the long term TVA volunteers, the Tidewater Volleyball
Center would not have been possible. Many members worked
long hours running a bingo game to get the facility and
its leagues off the ground. Now that we are operating
and successful doesn't mean we don't need volunteers
any longer. Many projects save TVA money which in turn
saves each member by keeping membership fees as low as
possible. Get involved and make a difference. Just a
few hours a year can make a world of difference.

Facility Painting
We would like to paint the walls at TVA to brighten it up and
make it look a little nicer for us to play on. If anyone is interested
in helping us raise money for the paint and then helping us paint,
we would be greatly honored if you would be willing to help.
Snack Bar
We would like
to replace the flooring in the Snack Bar. Looking for any left over
flooring materials to be donated and/or installed. Also looking
to repair or replace our kegerator.
Court Lines
Yearly, the volleyball court lines need to be redone. TVA has purchased
the court tape and is looking for volunteers to spend a couple of
hours repairing certain areas that have worn away.
Trophy Case
We need someone that has is good with woodwork to build a Trophy
case for our Junior Olympic program. We currently have a number
of beautiful trophies that our JO teams have earned, but nowhere
to display them. It would be a nice addition to our facility and
the Junior Olympic program.
Benches, Chairs, and Sofas
Some of our court benches are splitting and therefore need repair,
or new ones to be built. Also, the upholstery on the chairs in the
snack bar area are in desperate need of re-conditioning. Any donations
of GENTLY used sofas are always appreciated. Call for drop off instruction
or arrange pick up.
General Clean Up & Organization
TVA could always use help keeping the place organized. Some of the
current projects include the "upstairs", parking area
maintenance, file archive organization and storage.
